- Location:The various art pieces are located within CityCenter including Aria, Vdara, Crystals and Mandarin Oriental to name a few.
You think it would be enough that the CityCenter seems like a work of art all by itself. But we’re all wrong. It’s not only home to Vegas’ first permanent art collection in a public space, but also the world’s largest corporate art collection.
You can basically run into art everywhere you go, even the walkways, lobbies and hotels. It’s a lot like strolling through a huge gallery with everything from massive installations to sculptures and paintings.
Just to get an idea how different all these pieces are, you'll see everything from brightly-colored boats at Vdara (Nancy Rubin's "Big Edge" made of stainless steel and aluminum water vessels) to a heartfelt rendition of a mother embracing her baby at Crystals (Henry Moore's "Reclining Connected Forms " made of Roman travertine marble). And if you're on your way to Crystals from Mandarin Oriental, you'll see Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen's "Typewriter Eraser," made of stainless steel, fiberglass and acrylic polyurethane paint.
Don't forget to check out the cool stuff inside the properties too. Like Maya Lin's 84-foot-long "Silver River," which weighs 3,700 pounds, or the art piece dangling over Aria’s registration desk.
